—Photography—

Photography is a source of meaning in my life, a reliable reprieve. The frame makes the world coherent, comprehensible, a time and space unto itself, if only for the moment of taking the photograph. Photography is my way of communing physically and aesthetically with the world around me here in Montréal, a therapeutic mode of inhabiting my environment. I seek to be a witness to the possibilities of the still frame in an ever-evolving world. The wealth of images that turn up on any given day (rain or shine) remind me of the unceasing generosity of existence.

I am a regular contributor to Sculptureaday (SAD), and the Portuguese project ‘fotografar palavras’, which pairs writers with photographers.

 —Fiction—

Writing is another vital dimension of my creative life. My first novel, The Fish, made its debut on Anteism Press in 2010. René-Daniel Dubois translated the text for Les Allusifs in 2015. My novella, Chloes, launched in 2014. I continue to work on a new novel, write fiction reviews at the Montreal Review of Books, and teach Creative Writing at Concordia Continuing Education here in Montréal.
