A parakeet lands on the sill of Chloe Fortin’s Montreal apartment one morning, and nothing in the multiverse will be ever be the same. Chloes explores our tendency towards multiple selves. Why deal with the world when you can send another version of yourself? When we open our lives to possibility, sometimes our wildest imaginings are only a universe away.

Chloes is a Novella with illustrations by Montreal artist Nicole Legault. It was launched on May 29th of 2014 at Drawn and Quarterly in Montreal, and on June 12th at Another Story Bookstore in Toronto. It was nominated for 'Best English Book' at the 2014 Expozine Awards.

Reviews of Chloes can be found at The Montreal Review of Books, Weird Canada, Broken Pencil, The Bookstylist and Bloody Underrated.

The Fish was released in 2010 under Anteism Press with illustrations by Erik Volet, and was nominated for ‘Best English Book’ at the Expozine awards that same year. I was thrilled to have René-Daniel Dubois translate the text into French for Les Allusifs in the fall of 2015. View the original blog for The Fish, including a review at Matrix Magazine here.
